A Salute To My Favorite Show (Right Now)

I love Gossip Girl. I don't know if it's the incredibly hot guys and girls that I never saw at my high school or the equally impressive parents of the high school students. Or the fact that these kids have more money than they know what to do with. It could be the fact that they have money and they get to live in NYC- a dream of mine (with the money, of course) !

I don't know why but I'm hooked. I can't get enough. I don't want the show to end. I thought it was just me that liked it because it doesn't appear to be anything extraordinary but then I heard it's becoming extremely popular with the rest of America. I heard someone on TV say it's similar to "Sex In The City".....cool, but seriously I don't get that comparison!!

Needless to say, check out the show if you haven't already. If you don't like it, I can understand because I have no real reason for liking it except that I do!! It's on Wednesday nights on the CW but I think later on in January it's changing to Monday nights. Give it a whirl!

WANTED: A New Member For Our Family....

We went to the dog park this last weekend when I was sick and needed to get out of the house. Lilly did really well this time. Usually she's anti-social and we're embarrassed because people see her and start telling us how you have to socialize your dogs early (which we did!). The thing is that Lilly usually likes humans more than dogs. But not this time. She was all over the park meeting all kinds of friends. But her favorite was a little baby beagle, which was about her size.

That's when we decided that we want to get another beagle. But we want one that will be small, like Lilly. So if you know of anyone that is selling beagle puppies let me know! We are looking for 10 inch beagles, not 15 inch.

Besides, it reminds of what someone once told me "If you think you're ready for a baby, get a puppy then you'll know". Well, Vincent has baby fever like it's no body's business so I figured this will give him a little wake-up call!

Doesn't this picture of a little beagle just make you want one????

A Great Chick Flick

Now I'm not usually into chick flicks. In fact, I really can't stand them. But this last weekend I was so, so, so sick and for some reason couldn't get enough of them. I called in sick to work Friday, took some NyQuil, and passed out until lunch. Still feeling groggy I turned on the TV and let the good times roll (The Wedding Date, The Wedding Planner, Meet Joe Black, etc, etc). By Saturday night I was still feeling like crap but I just had to get out of the house.
So my very adorable husband took me to see "P.S. I Love You" and I loved it!! Sure I was crying every 5 minutes but it was a good cry that makes you feel content inside after it. I mean the concept of the movie alone almost brings me to tears now but for a chick flick- it was great!

I recommend seeing it with your girlfriends because unlike my husband (who loves chick flicks), most men will not like this movie at all. If you're in the mood to cry go see it.....

What Are They Doing Now?

So I got a text this morning that directed me to this website to see this lovely news story on a girl I went to The Colony High School with. She graduated with me and even had a few classes with me.
She was a cheerleader, supposedly smart, and her dad had plenty of money and look what she's doing now....................

Kumari Fulbright

TUCSON, Ariz. — A beauty pageant winner and law school student clerking for a federal judge faces charges that she kidnapped and tortured an ex-boyfriend.
Kumari Fulbright, 25, was indicted with three men Dec. 18 by a Pima County Superior Court grand jury on charges of kidnapping, armed robbery, aggravated robbery and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, the Arizona Daily Star reported.
Fulbright, was Miss Pima County in 2005 and Miss Desert Sun in 2006, and sought the title of Miss Arizona during those years.
She also clerked for U.S. District Judge Raner Collins as a University of Arizona law school student, the newspaper said.
It said the alleged assailants held a 24-year-old man captive for 10 hours on Dec. 8 while robbing and torturing him.
Court documents said the foursome tied the man up with plastic cable ties and duct tape, holding him at two Tucson homes, during which time they pointed handguns at him, threatened his life, stole his cell phone, briefcase and wallet, taking between $500 and $600.
The newspaper also said the documents accused Fulbright of biting him several times, sticking a butcher knife in his ear, saying she was going to kill him and pointing a pistol at him.

The Star said after eight to 10 hours, the victim grabbed Fulbright's gun, which went off, and he fled the house screaming for help.
The man's injuries were consistent with his story, police told the newspaper.
