Once again, we are super busy. It's like nonstop activity at our house. Thanksgiving we spent the day with my parents because we are having our real Thanksgiving next week. All of my siblings will be in town next week and it will be AWESOME!! But because it was only us and my parents, we had a yummy steak dinner instead of turkey. Still good :) Very early Thanksgiving morning Tristan got really really sick. He was screaming badly and wouldn't eat and wouldn't sleep and wouldn't stop crying. It went on like that all day. We even debated going to the ER because I was scared that he had an ear infection but right as we debated he fell asleep and didn't wake up for 12 hours. When he did wake up, he was back to his smiling self. But when I woke up on Black Friday, my throat was so swollen I couldn't talk. And when I swallowed it felt like I was swallowing giant rocks. The next day my throat stopped hurting but my nose has been a faucet and I can't stop coughing. Yuck. And I am still feeling like crap. But someone at work told me about Neti Pot-- a little too late, might I add--but this thing is amazing!! It cleans out your entire sinus system. You're supposed to do it before you get as bad as me but it still helped me with my faucet problem. I did it last night and didn't have to blow my nose the rest of the night. It says it's really good for people with bad allergies. I like it.
Also I started reading 2 new books (on top of books for school-grrrr): the Percy Jackson series and The Lovely Bones. Both of which I saw the previews for and loved the story lines. The Percy Jackson books were a little embarrassing to get because I had to go to the kids section to get it. I'm talking a 5 year old child reached out for the same book (I think mistakenly though) and I totally walked away, ashamed. When I walked back to get it again I told myself that if I got any funny stares I would just say it's for my son. I just wouldn't mention that my son is 6 months old. But I'm telling you the Percy Jackson book is great- I love it. It's easy to read but entertaining. I love Greek mythology so the story line hooked me from the beginning.

The Lovely Bones is a great book because there are not a lot of books told from the murdered girl's perspective. Neat angle. Oh and the movie has Marky Mark playing the dad. YUM. Enough said.

I still have to finish Christmas shopping for our Christmas exchange next week, cook for our little potluck this weekend and oh, did I mention it's final exam time??? This week will definitely be exhausting but I am definitely counting down until the Masdon clan reunites next week. The six siblings together always equal good conversations and good times. Not to mention that my brother is seeing a very special woman that he is rumored to be taking the next big step with and I get to meet her for the first time. Oh and Tristan finally gets to meet Uncle Nate and Aunt Tamarah for the first time!! So, as you can see, I'm focusing on that and not this week. Ugh. I assume that this blog will not see action again until at least next week.
Anyone want to take my exams???

I read the Lovely Bones 3 or 4 years ago and after seeing the trailors for the movie, I want to read it again! Now I just have to find the book in my in-laws basement somewhere....I can't believe Tristan is 6 months old, that is so crazy! Bella will be 4 months on the 19th, and that is making me almost cry! They get big too fast, no fair!!!
