So as I continue on my career path here at Staff Care I meet new people all the time. A lot of them- VERY COOL. A few- NOT so cool. And recently I have come across a personality type that grinds my nerves. It's the personality that feels like they should ALWAYS contribute to a conversation even when people are avoiding eye contact and have their backs turned towards these people. They butt in whenever possible. These personalities are usually nice people but their conversation skills SUCK. This can be demonstrated in a fictitious conversation I've created:
Me: Vincent and I borrowed a golf cart from a friend and decided to walk to dogs with it. It's hilarious to see the looks of judgement we get from the neighbors for "being too lazy to walk to dogs"!
My friend: That's hilarious. My brother and I had a golf cart once and we used to drive it on nature walk paths and ride the heels of joggers. They used to get pissed!
ANNOYING personality: My dad had a golf cart.
It's the story with no point, or climax, as I refer to it. It's a story with no rhyme or reason. It's a story that people think they should be on the edge of their seats for, only to find out that they need to awkwardly scoot back. It's a story that people wait with uncomfortable pauses to see if anything will follow, only to be disappointed.
It's not that they shouldn't be allowed to talk but they should learn basic manners. If you're not invited to a conversation, don't invite yourself. I am always nice to her but I feel as an American, I have a right to have good conversations with my co-workers without someone interrupting and putting in what amounts to a buzz kill. I don't think this is too much to ask......

I second that completely! After listening to a uninvited convo bit from the annoying one, you are bascially stunned at the stupidity of it all; thinking to yourself, possibly saying it aloud "REALLY?"
All I can say is..."What a BEATING!!"
