Vincent planned a getaway for last Saturday night. (Granted, he was supposed to do it 3 weeks ago on my Spring Break...oh well). We didn't want to go anywhere real far so we decided to go spend the night in a hotel in downtown Fort Worth and see all the sights of Ft. Worth nightlife.
I had a reaction to some medication I got on Friday and after the reaction subsided (around 3pm on Saturday) I was dead tired. Well, when we realized that I wasn't going to die, we packed up and dropped the dogs off and were on our way at like 4pm. We stopped at a liquor store and went crazy. You would've thought we were buying for a party instead of just 2 people. But we just wanted everything to be nice and relaxing. We got to the hotel and dropped off our stuff and decided to eat. We saw a Pappasito's Cantino right by the hotel and went. Well I ordered a drink called the Sierra Madre. Holy crap! That was the biggest drink I've ever had. It has frozen margarita in the middle and melon liqueur and some other liqueur in it. I had what felt like 2 gallons of it and by this time the frozen margarita part melted and the drink was full again. I couldn't even finish it and I was well beyond buzzed. The food was amazing too. I had bacon wrapped shrimp (yummy!). That place rocks my world! I want to go back but I will stay away from the Sierra Madra unless someone is sharing with me!!
We got back to the hotel and Vincent wanted to watch the b-ball game and I decided to take a short "nap". The time was 8:02pm. I woke up at 12:30 am and saw Vincent passed out on the couch and woke him up. He mumbled something and passed out in the bed. All of a sudden I was wide awake. I watched movies all night long. I didn't go to sleep until almost 5am. So much for seeing the nightlife (bust)......all because of a drink called the Sierra Madre!
While we were gone Monique and Dave and the kids watched the dogs. The kids love watching the dogs (maybe not so much Monique and Dave) and the dogs are always worn out from all the playing (good for us). Monique took some great pics but can't download them because her computer doesn't work right now. So instead, I'll just post some pics of the dogs I took when we got them back.
