New Job

So I got a new job and haven't really explained it in detail......



I wasn't really looking for a new job but my friend, Lauren (L Dub!!), was interviewing for new jobs and had an interview at a place in Dallas. They offered her the job but she couldn't take it because it was too far away for her. So instead she called me telling me that I would be perfect for the job and I called the company and here we are today.



The company is called V Platinum Consulting. They are a medical staffing company that staffs technologists. They have doubled in size in the last year so they now have a need for Logistics and needed someone to head the department. Right now I'm a Logistics Coordinator but as my department grows, I will go on to hire people under me and then become Director of Logistics. I love this job because it was all about organizing and making forms/spreadsheets that no one here knew how to make. And they love that I'm making changes- even though all I'm doing is using all the ideas I've been working with from my last year of work! I'm OCD anyway and I make forms/spreadsheets for anything and everything so why not get recognition for making it! I decided to make a list of Pros & Cons for working here because I love lists!

Pros:

* I feel fancy because I work somewhat Downtown Dallas- 75 & 635.....close enough
* I literally work 4 minutes from my darling husband :)
* I'll be a Director.....finally my Master's is paying off
* I get to wear jeans and flip-flops to work (even though I try not to all the time because I want to dress up every now and then)
* V Platinum is a nice small company where everybody knows everybody...I love it!
* I don't have to clock in and out, I pretty much do whatever I want :)
* Pretty much everyone that works here has a sense of humor....can't beat that.
* There's a doggy day care down the street that I really, really want to put the dogs in....wouldn't that be cool???
* There's a deli in the building that is open all day......this actually could be a bad thing


Cons:
* The bathroom is on the other side of the building....this is no bueno for a pregnant lady
* Traffic on 635 is absolutely terrible
* It's cold in the office.....seriously. I have a sweater and a heating pad- it's that cold.
* The parking garage was designed very oddly and I always have to either get out of my car or hang out of my window in order to wave my badge in front of the scanner to get in and out of the garage
