Yay! We've hit the 'safe' zone or at least the risk of miscarriage has gone down tremendously- woo hoo!
As for me, I am a hormonal mess. I cry for terrible reasons and when good reasons come up, I don't shed a tear! Last week I cried because I saw a woman on TV crying.....the TV was on mute and I had no idea why she was crying but it made me bawl. Then a few days later I was talking to Vincent and he interrupted me. I started crying because he interrupted me- ridiculous! But Steel Magnolias was on and I didn't cry once. It's really strange.
Baby Martinez has a lot going on this week. All of the organs have now been moved from the umbilical cord to their correct place. Some of the organs have begun working on their own. Vocal cords are formed this week but because it is a water-filled environment, the baby can't make sounds. The baby is able to swallow and practices on the amniotic fluid that he or she floats in. The baby can feel pain at this stage and even cries from time to time, although silently. The baby has doubled in size in the past 2 weeks.
We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and I think we have another ultrasound. Hopefully we'll get a print off and I can share just how big the baby is! I will definitely post any pics we get!
