Yesterday, though, not so much. I had contractions all day long and they were really hurting. I had a doctor's appointment so I decided to wait and mention it to the doctor. Well, Vincent went with me and he was freaking out about the contractions. Since I have read lots of information on each stage of my pregnancy, I knew that these contractions were more than likely, very normal. I tried to explain this to Vincent but he wasn't convinced. So I told the doctor that I was having contractions and she asked the specifics and then said to make sure I was hydrated and that maybe I should take the next day off to relax. Well, Vincent then said "No, you don't get it, these are really bad contractions. She could barely walk all day with these contractions. I've never seen her in this much pain." She then got a worried look and asked me if this was true and then that freaked me out and then I became worried that they were worse than they were and agreed with Vincent. So then she decided to check and see if I was dilated. I don't want to go into too much detail here but she does stick her hand, although I don't know how much of it, in me to check. It was terrible. I wasn't really that scared of the pain of birth before, but now I'm terrified. I mean, really, all she was doing was checking me and it hurt that bad. I actually screamed, because I was totally not expecting it to hurt, and especially not that bad. She said that I wasn't dilated but that the baby's head was really low, so low that she actually touched my baby's head......yeah, weird. But she said that it was too low for me being only 32 weeks. So she insists that I go to the hospital to have some more tests done to make sure the baby wasn't in distress. So off the hospital we go where they monitor the baby's heart and do some ultrasounds. Basically, everything is fine. He's just really low in my pelvis- which feels awesome, by the way. So basically from all that the one thing we learned was that Vincent isn't going to speak up anymore at future appointments. :)

But the highlight of my birthday was the gifts I received on Sunday. Vincent got me a vacuum cleaner and steam cleaner. More specifically a Hoover Platinum Collection WindTunnel HEPA Upright Vacuum and a Hoover Platinum Collection Upright Steam Cleaner. They are the best things that ever happened to me. I got them Sunday early afternoon and decided that I would try them out on the living room floor. They were both so amazing that I decided to do the stairs. Then, the game room and it went on and on until I had done the whole house. I definitely did some serious vacuuming and steam cleaning. Now it's probably easy to see why I was having contractions the next day.....I know, I know. But seriously, I don't think I could have stopped, even if I wanted to. These machines are capable of amazing things. You know you've reached a certain age and place in your life when vacuums and steam cleaners make you extraordinarily happy :) But really, I highly recommend these 2 beauties. They're a little pricey but worth every penny.
Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes, especially from my bro in Iraq!! When someone from the other side of the world wishes you happy birthday, you know you're special!! :)
