Shush girl, shut your lips, do the Hellen Keller and talk with your hips....

Yeah, I didn't really have any sort of subject to put in the subject line so I took a line that I think is hilarious from a song I like by the band 3OH!3..........yeah, random. Probably like this post is going to be.

I wanted to post a blog even though I don't really have a lot to blog about. My back is hurting again and this time, even worse. I complained before to Vincent about my back hurting, saying "I don't think my back could hurt any worse"......well, I guess my body likes to screw with me cause it definitely hurts a lot more than before. My doctor says that my petite frame is not handling the growth of my boobs and belly very well and that's why it hurts. I honestly wish that I could take a pain reliever that isn't Tylenol. Tylenol sucks.

Speaking of doctors, I changed doctors a few weeks ago. I changed doctors for 2 reasons. One, I really wanted to deliver at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and my old doctor wouldn't deliver there. And, two, it wasn't that I didn't like my old doctor but she didn't really make me feel like she was concerned about what I was concerned about. Vincent said she didn't baby me and I wanted to be babied. That might be true but I got a recommendation from several people at work for my new doctor and I LOVE her. Seriously, she is the best doctor I've ever had in my history of OB's. She is great. Her name is Dr. Felicia Tillman. If you're looking for a new OBGYN, check her out.

Other than my back hurting, my pregnancy is going really well. I am definitely Miranda on Sex in the City when it comes to my pregnancy. I thought it was slightly neat that the baby was kicking the first few times but now I'm totally over it. It's actually really annoying and sometimes even painful now. Sometimes I feel guilty that I am not into it like other women but everyone's different and I know that once the little guy is here, I'll be excited. The other day a woman I work with asked to touch my belly while the baby kicked. Of course he kicked because he always kicks and when he kicked, it actually brought tears to her eyes! She said, through her sniffles, that she couldn't wait to hold him. I was awestruck! The baby kicking definitely has had no effect on me like that and I'm his own mother!! And she's, by no means, my BFF, so how in the world could she be so moved???? I think the whole not being able to see what is making me fat, kicking me, and causing me to waddle really prevents me from getting excited. I think if I could see the actual person inside of me and what he really looks like I would be way more excited. And ultrasounds don't count because you can't really tell what he's going to look like.....unless he's supposed to look like a little skeleton baby :) So judge me, if you must, for being a terrible pregnant lady. I just can't help it.

Other than counting down the weeks till we meet this baby (10 more weeks!!), I have been doing a whole lot of TV watching.....since laying down feels the best right now. Right now I have started from the beginning of the series of "Big Love" and am almost done watching it (thanks, Lauren!!). This show is awesome!! I know that there is no way possible for polygamists to exist like they do, all normal in the suburbs, but it's a lot of fun watching them do it. Although it doesn't beat out my favorite show of all time, The L Word, it definitely ranks up there.....

Since we don't have kids yet and when the baby gets here, they'll be long forgotten, I guess I should mention something about my dogs. Our dog Bailey seems to have suffered from what we think was an allergy attack. We're not sure so if anyone knows different let us know. But a few weeks ago when the weather was perfect we left the windows open for like 3 days in a row. Well, Bailey loves the windows being open and propped herself on the couch by the window and just watched the neighborhood for hours. She loves watching the neighborhood. She does it intently like she's getting paid to do it. Anyway, after those 3 days in front of the window, all of a sudden the rims around her eyes puffed up and turned bright pink. Then she started itching real bad. It stayed like that for about a week. We didn't take her to the vet because as Vincent says "unless she can't move, I'm not paying for her to go to a vet". Well, I started giving her Benadryl and the swelling went down and she stopped itching as much. But the effects of it have stayed long past. She itched her eyes till there were scabs and itched her back legs so much that she took off most of her fur. She looks rough. Our neighbor came over and commented "What the F is wrong with your dog? Did she get hit by a car?" I took pictures of her but they probably don't do justice to how rough she looked.....

There are scabs above her right eye from scratching it so much....

I don't know if you can see the bald spots because they're starting to grow back but it was bad....

I will be posting more pictures of my growing belly on the next post. It is definitely growing rapidly and I really think he is starting to drop. Hopefully he comes on time and not later!! Everyone cross their fingers for me!! :)

So my husband's parent's dog had the same problems, and they did everything - changed the dog's diet, changed the soil and fertilizer they were using (for when the dog went outside to use the bathroom), changed their air filters, gave the dog benadryl, gave him frequent baths, gave him flea medicine, and special coat medicine. Nothing worked. They sucked it up and took him to the vet finally, he got a steroid shot for allergies and boom, was cured. So maybe you can shop the black market for dog steroids...
But that is just one dog's experience I guess.
