Creepy or Artistic?

Yikes! Have you seen these pictures of Miley Cyrus and her dad for Vanity Fair??? Ummm.....I've never laid on my dad's lap like that. Well, at least not when I was 15. I'm taking a survey.....do you think these pictures are creepy or artistic?

Really, I just want to know if anyone thinks they're artistic........

Ionic Cleanse

At work we have a salon and the lady who runs it bought an Ionic Cleansing machine. I tried it out yesterday. I felt awesome! It is amazing that all these toxins in your body come out through your feet but also gross at the same time. I really did feel lighter. If you know where one is, give it a shot. Here's how it works (I found the info on the Internet):

"The energy causes the largest pores in the body located in the feet to open even larger. Toxins are pulled down because of gravity to the lowest point in the body which is your feet. This state-of-the-art "ion cleanse machine" raises health care to a new level. It energizes water with direct current (DC) to create an energy field which research has shown is bio-available to living things. This process is referred to by scientist as electrolysis. As toxins leak out of your feet into the water, certain color changes of the water during the detox process correlate to certain organs that are being detoxified."

And here's the chart that shows the different color water:

Another Year Older.....

So it's my birthday today......I know I should be happy but I'm kinda depressed. "26 is another year closer to old" as Vincent put it so eloquently. I feel old. 26 seems like the age where you're not young anymore. It's the start of my late 20s and then downhill from there. Yuck.

But I did have an amazing birthday weekend. First Vincent took me to a dinner theater, murder mystery style. It was a blast!! Then, my friends Ashli and Mandi planned a sweet birthday party on Saturday night downtown at Fuse. That place is so cool because it's a rooftop bar in downtown Dallas. And it was perfect weather. We had a great time!!

Then Sunday we had a BBQ at Ashli and Mandi's pool and that was also a fabulous time. The food was AWESOME!! Meat from the Mexican meat market.....mmmmm!

I have class tonight and I have to go--not cool. But I think Vincent's waiting to give me my present till after class. I can't wait. I already got an amazing Coach bag from my awesome friends Ashli, Mandi and Monique. Seriously, that bag was meant for me. I love it, girls!!! Thanks!!!

So here are some pics from Saturday night. Thanks to everyone for coming!! I really had an amazing time. And I have fabulous friends!!!!

Go Cowboys!

So I'm at the library studying (big surprise!) and I need a break already. Probably because it's an amazing day outside and when I left at 6 this morning my poor little baby girls were so upset. All they wanted to do was lay outside in the grass. Vincent got up with me and took them out and they didn't want to come back in. Then when I left Vincent said they were howling for at least 20 minutes at the back door. Poor girls. Hopefully Vincent can take them to the park today while I slave away in the library......

Earlier this week I went grocery shopping. We go to the Wal-Mart in Arlington that is right across from the new stadium being built for the Cowboys. Every time I go I mean to take pictures because it's going up so fast. And this time I did. It looks amazing! And it's so big!! You don't realize how big and far away it is until you look around it and see all the room for parking lots. Then it hits you that the stadium is very far away so it must be even bigger!! I drove around and took pics from all around it. I even zoomed in on the flags at the very top because you can't even see them if you don't zoom in. Vincent and I can't wait for it to be built because it's just down the street from us and we have friends that live near. We don't think we'll ever buy seat tickets (the prices are outrageous!) but we want to tailgate out there. Our friends have this huge plasma that they put connections in the back of their car for the purpose of using it for tailgating. We can't wait!!! And you know Vincent has a count down calendar.........gotta love him!

Fort Worth or Bust

Vincent planned a getaway for last Saturday night. (Granted, he was supposed to do it 3 weeks ago on my Spring Break...oh well). We didn't want to go anywhere real far so we decided to go spend the night in a hotel in downtown Fort Worth and see all the sights of Ft. Worth nightlife.

I had a reaction to some medication I got on Friday and after the reaction subsided (around 3pm on Saturday) I was dead tired. Well, when we realized that I wasn't going to die, we packed up and dropped the dogs off and were on our way at like 4pm. We stopped at a liquor store and went crazy. You would've thought we were buying for a party instead of just 2 people. But we just wanted everything to be nice and relaxing. We got to the hotel and dropped off our stuff and decided to eat. We saw a Pappasito's Cantino right by the hotel and went. Well I ordered a drink called the Sierra Madre. Holy crap! That was the biggest drink I've ever had. It has frozen margarita in the middle and melon liqueur and some other liqueur in it. I had what felt like 2 gallons of it and by this time the frozen margarita part melted and the drink was full again. I couldn't even finish it and I was well beyond buzzed. The food was amazing too. I had bacon wrapped shrimp (yummy!). That place rocks my world! I want to go back but I will stay away from the Sierra Madra unless someone is sharing with me!!

We got back to the hotel and Vincent wanted to watch the b-ball game and I decided to take a short "nap". The time was 8:02pm. I woke up at 12:30 am and saw Vincent passed out on the couch and woke him up. He mumbled something and passed out in the bed. All of a sudden I was wide awake. I watched movies all night long. I didn't go to sleep until almost 5am. So much for seeing the nightlife (bust)......all because of a drink called the Sierra Madre!

While we were gone Monique and Dave and the kids watched the dogs. The kids love watching the dogs (maybe not so much Monique and Dave) and the dogs are always worn out from all the playing (good for us). Monique took some great pics but can't download them because her computer doesn't work right now. So instead, I'll just post some pics of the dogs I took when we got them back.
The only picture I got to take in Ft. Worth--at Pappasito's (pre-Sierra Madre)

The babies on their favorite couch (they are really starting to look alike)
