Scaredy Cat!

I've never told Vincent this because I've never been scared of this before. There is a reason that I don't watch the news-- it always makes me scared of things I never used to be scared about!
I take Lilly out back through the garage because our driveway is actually on the main street and there's a great place down the street for her to go potty. When I come back in through the garage I have this completely absurd feeling someone is following me. As soon as I get in the house it doesn't go away. I am convinced that whoever is following me is going to come in the garage and wait until I come out again to attack. So I always stand at the back door and watch the garage door roll down all the way just in case someone tries to sneak in at the last minute. I know it's completely ridiculous because 1, our neighborhood is very safe and 2, what threat do I pose standing at the back door if someone were trying to sneak in??
I don't know if this actually happened on the news or if I just created it out of fears but I feel really dumb when I stand at the back door watching the garage door close and Vincent asks what I am doing. I usually mumble something and walk away quickly. I guess now he'll know.......
