On Saturday our friend Jeremy had a birthday party at Hibashi Teppan Grill and Sushi Bar. It was sooooo yummy! Although it was not fun to be the sober one (along with Lockhart) it was entertaining to watch my husband and his new man crush, Bud. They were being hilarious. Also, Jeremy's facial expressions were priceless (way too many sake bombs!). All in all it was a great experience, even if it was a completely sober one :) Happy Birthday Jeremy!!Then on Sunday I surprised Vincent with a day trip. We got up at 6am and drove 3 hours to Hempstead, TX. Why Hempstead, you ask? Because they were having a civil war reenactment. I know, I know, I'm a dork. But when I went to school in Kentucky they had reenactments all the time and I loved them. I knew Vincent had never been to one so I thought it would be fun to see one. On top of the very real battle, they also have activities demonstrated that were done during that time like spinning, music, quilting, blacksmithing, soap making, and furniture making. It was so cool to see and we learned a lot. Although, I was soooo tired and didn't even have the energy to take pictures- luckily Vincent took pictures or else we'd have none. Even without the energy we still had a lot of fun and walked around to see everything. If you haven't ever gone to one, you should go! It's a really cool way to learn history!
