Last Saturday my mom and Vincent's Aunt Janie threw me a baby shower. It was awesome!! It was totally different than the couples baby shower so it was cool to have 2 totally different baby showers. We had a really great time and my sister Naomi took some pictures so I will post those at the end of the blog.
As to Baby Martinez, I have been having contractions going on 2 weeks now. It's been delightful, wait.....no, not at all. It really has been hard to go to work and it makes the day really long. Oh well, only 5 1/2 more weeks, right? We did go to the hospital last week because they thought I might have blood clots in my legs. After a really long time and several tests later, it turns out that I just have really fat cankles. No surprise there. I really will be glad for this to all be over because I really don't know how much more my body can take. I have an all new respect for women who do this several times. Geez.....this might be my first and last child :)
Right now as I type Vincent is finishing the baby's room. He is on the last wall to paint. My parents were generous enough to buy BEAUTIFUL baby furniture so everything just needs to be set up. And if you can't tell from the baby shower pictures, the theme for the baby's room is monkeys. I can't wait to have everything done. It's going to look great. As soon as it's all done, I will post pictures.
